Services

Therapy

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length and take place virtually or in-person. The first session focuses on discussing your background, history, goals for therapy, and collaborative treatment planning. Focus of subsequent sessions varies depending on client needs, goals, and preferences.

Assessment

Dr. Rodd offers psychodiagnostic assessments for a variety of mental health concerns (for example, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, OCD, eating disorders, PTSD, sleep disorders, and others). Please note, Dr. Rodd does not offer psychoeducational or neuropsychological assessments (for example, learning disorders, ADHD, autism).

Fees

Dr. Rodd’s rate per 50-minute therapy session is $240. Payment options include e-transfer and credit card.

Assessment fees vary depending on the complexity of the assessment question and amount of time required for interviews, document review, and report writing needed. Note that for every one hour of direct contact with a client, I spend about 2-3 hours on other work related to the assessment.

Cancellation Policy: As your appointment time is reserved just for you, please provide 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment, otherwise the regular appointment fee will be charged.

Appointments: Currently Dr. Rodd is accepting new patients for both in-person and virtual services. Appointments are currently available in-person on Sundays and Mondays and offered virtually on Tuesdays.

Please consider:

In British Columbia, services by private psychologists are not covered under the Medical Services Plan (MSP). However, many people do have coverage through their own or a family member’s extended health coverage.
If you suspect that you may be covered under extended health, it can be a good idea to check your maximum amount covered in one calendar year, the percentage of each bill your plan covers, and whether the coverage requires a physician referral or not.

Despair cannot share the same space as wonder.
